Community Guidelines

Last updated: 05/02/2026

Welcome to the Amanotes community! These Community Guidelines are here to help everyone have a safe, fun, and inspiring experience when using Amanotes games, apps, websites, and any other experiences we operate (the “Service”).

Your use of the Service is subject to these Community Guidelines and our Terms and Conditions. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to follow both.

If you violate these Guidelines or our Terms and Conditions, we may remove content, restrict or terminate your account (temporarily or permanently), and, where appropriate, cooperate with platforms or law enforcement.

1. Where these Guidelines apply

These Guidelines apply to:

  • All Amanotes games and mobile apps

  • Our websites and online services

  • In‑game and community features (leaderboards, user profiles, usernames, etc.)

  • Any official Amanotes channels or events, online or offline, where we host or moderate a community

They apply to everything you post, create, share, or do in connection with the Service.

2. Things you should do

Be nice

Be polite and respectful in your interactions with others. Amanotes is a global community; what seems like a joke to you may feel hurtful to someone else.

Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Help new users find songs, understand features, or get better at the game.

Have fun

Amanotes is a place for music, creativity, and play. Whether you are singing, tapping, listening, playing, or collaborating—enjoy yourself and let others enjoy themselves too.

Keep your account secure

You are responsible for all activity on your account:

  • Use strong, unique passwords and keep them private.

  • Enable any available security features (for example, device‑level protections).

  • If you suspect any unauthorized use or a security breach, contact us at hello@amanotes.com as soon as possible.

Protect your own and others’ privacy

  • Do not share your own highly sensitive information (such as home address, phone number, government ID numbers, financial details, or passwords) in public spaces.

  • Do not ask others to share their personal information, and do not pressure them to reveal anything they are not comfortable sharing.

  • Do not record, upload, or share images, audio, or video of other people without their clear consent, especially minors.

Use music and content responsibly

  • Respect music and other content you access through Amanotes. You may not copy, redistribute, or reuse our sounds, music, graphics, or other content outside the Service unless we or the relevant rightsholder explicitly allow it.

  • Only upload or share content (including music, audio, images, or videos) you have the right to use.

Talk to us and report problems

You are an important part of what makes this community safe and enjoyable:

  • Use our in‑app reporting tools to flag content or behavior that may violate these Guidelines.

  • You can also email hello@amanotes.com to raise concerns or ask questions.

  • Moderate your own behavior and encourage others to follow the Guidelines.

3. Things you should not do

Don’t be a bully or harass others

Amanotes is not a place to attack, threaten, or humiliate anyone.

You must not engage in:

  • Bullying, harassment, or targeted insults

  • Threats of violence, self‑harm, or harm to others

  • Coordinated harassment or “pile‑ons” against an individual or group

No hate, discrimination, or extreme content

You may not post content or engage in behavior that:

  • Promotes or glorifies hatred, discrimination, or violence against any person or group based on protected characteristics (e.g., race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or similar traits).

  • Celebrates or endorses violence, terrorism, or extremist organizations.

  • Depicts or encourages self‑harm, suicide, or serious physical injury.

No pornographic, obscene, or shocking content

You may not post content that:

  • Is pornographic or sexually explicit

  • Is excessively violent, gory, or designed purely to shock or disgust

  • Sexualizes minors or could be interpreted as doing so

  • Involves exploitation or endangerment of children in any way

We apply zero tolerance to any content involving the sexualization or exploitation of minors.

Don’t post fraudulent, deceptive, or defamatory content

You must not:

  • Spread deliberately false or misleading information that could harm others

  • Impersonate another person, including Amanotes staff or partners

  • Make defamatory statements that unjustly damage someone’s reputation

If you create a profile or username, it must not mislead others into thinking you are someone else, or that you represent Amanotes when you do not.

Don’t be someone you’re not (impersonation)

  • Do not provide false information when registering an account.

  • Do not pretend to be another person, company, or Amanotes employee.

  • Do not create multiple accounts for abusive purposes, such as harassment, cheating, or evading enforcement actions.

Don’t be a troll

Do not intentionally disrupt or undermine the community:

  • No persistent provocation or “trolling”

  • No attempts to derail discussions or ruin the experience for others

  • No behavior whose primary purpose is to cause anger or distress

Don’t be a spammer or run unauthorized promotions

You must not use Amanotes to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk or repetitive messages

  • Promote unrelated products, services, or websites without our permission

  • Run unauthorized contests, giveaways, or schemes

  • Engage in phishing, scams, or fraudulent offers

You are solely responsible for any messages you send through our Services.

Don’t misuse Amanotes content for AI, scraping, or data mining

To protect our own content and the rights of our music and content partners:

  • Do not scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically collect data, music, sounds, or other content from Amanotes apps, websites, or services using bots, scripts, or other automated tools.

  • Do not use any Amanotes content (including music, sounds, graphics, game data, or user content) to train, fine‑tune, test, or otherwise develop any AI or machine‑learning models or services.

  • Do not perform text‑and‑data‑mining on Amanotes content for AI or similar purposes where such rights can legally be waived or restricted by contract.

  • Do not bypass or interfere with any technical measures we use to prevent scraping, crawling, or unauthorized AI training (e.g., robots.txt, headers, or other “no‑AI/no‑crawl” signals).

If you wish to build anything using our content or data, you must obtain Amanotes’ express written permission and the necessary licenses from all relevant rightsholders.

Don’t give away sensitive information like passwords or account access

At Amanotes we work hard to protect your privacy and security, but:

  • Do not share your password or verification codes with anyone.

  • Do not ask others for their login details.

  • Do not share your account or use someone else’s account without permission.

Don’t disrespect the rights or privacy of others

You must not:

  • “Dox” or disclose someone else’s personal information (such as real name, address, phone, email, or private social accounts) without their explicit permission

  • Upload or share images, recordings, or other content of another person without their knowledge and consent, especially in private or sensitive contexts

  • Attempt to obtain login credentials or personal data from other users

Don’t engage in “brigading”

  • Do not direct or encourage groups of users to target, mass‑report, or harass another user or group.

  • If you believe content violates these Guidelines, report it through our tools or email hello@amanotes.com instead of organizing attacks.

Don’t infringe copyrights or intellectual property

Amanotes respects intellectual property rights, and so must you:

  • Do not upload, share, or use music, images, videos, or any other content unless you have the rights or permission to do so.

  • Do not try to bypass music licenses or misuse licensed content from rightsholders.

  • If we become aware that you are using the Service to infringe IP rights, we may terminate your account and, if necessary, take legal action.

Don’t disrespect Amanotes

You must not:

  • Encourage other users to violate our Terms or these Guidelines.

  • Interfere with or discourage eligible users from using Amanotes.

  • Use the Service for competitive intelligence in ways that violate our Terms, such as monitoring availability or functionality to build directly competing products via scraping or reverse engineering.

No cheating, exploiting, or security abuse

To protect our games and infrastructure, you must not:

  • Use bots, scripts, macros, or any automated tools to play or interact with our games or services, unless we explicitly allow it.

  • Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended mechanics to gain unfair advantage or disrupt the Service.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ accounts, or related systems.

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software (except where the law explicitly allows you to do so, and even then only within that narrow permission).

  • Disable, circumvent, or tamper with security features, content‑filtering mechanisms, or features that limit copying or protect content.

  • Upload or distribute malicious code (viruses, worms, spyware, or similar).

  • Interfere with or disrupt servers, networks, or services (including “stress‑testing,” DDoS attempts, or probing for vulnerabilities).

4. Illegal and unauthorized activities

You may not use Amanotes for any illegal purpose or in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes

  • Distribution of illegal content

  • Activities that violate export controls, sanctions, or other regulatory requirements

  • Any conduct that could cause harm to Amanotes, our users, or our partners

5. Enforcement – what happens if you break the rules

If we believe that you have violated these Guidelines or our Terms and Conditions, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity and frequency:

  • Remove or restrict access to specific content

  • Issue warnings or temporary restrictions

  • Temporarily suspend your account or certain features

  • Permanently terminate your account and block you from creating new ones

  • Notify app‑store platforms, partners, or other affected third parties

  • Refer matters to law enforcement or other authorities when we believe there is a risk of harm or a legal obligation to do so

We reserve the right to act quickly and without prior notice where user safety, child protection, security, or serious legal risk is involved.

6. Reporting and appeals

If you see content or behavior that appears to violate these Guidelines:

  • Use the in‑app reporting tools where available; and/or

  • Email us with as much detail as possible (screenshots, usernames, timestamps, links).

If your content or account has been restricted or removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may also contact us at hello@amanotes.com. While we cannot guarantee a particular outcome, we will review reasonable appeals in good faith.

7. Changes to these Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our products, in applicable laws, or in community expectations.

  • When we make material changes, we will use reasonable efforts to notify users (for example, by updating the “Last updated” date, posting a notice in the app, or similar methods).

  • Your continued use of the Service after updated Guidelines take effect means you agree to follow the new version.

By using Amanotes, you help us build a community that is safe, fair, and fun for everyone. Please take these Guidelines seriously—and enjoy the music.
